Cath Kidston is known as the ‘Home of Modern Vintage’. Founded in 1993, her first store in West London, sold hand embroidered tea towels, vintage fabric and renovated car boot finds. Cath began to design her own fabrics and nostalgic designs where she gave a modern twist to vintage design. Her spots, strawberries, roses and cowboys soon became her signature designs.

By 2013, Cath Kidston had 136 stores including her flagship store on Piccadilly and including 4 stores in China, there are currently over 200 stores in over 16 countries. Appearing on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs programme, Kidston described her shops as provoking a 'Marmite reaction': "People either love it and want a little bit of it very much, or want to stab us”.

Cath Kidston is now a much-loved British lifestyle brand offering colourful and witty prints all designed by an in-house design team. Their product range includes bags, accessories fashion and homeware.
