Wrendale Designs Designer Focus.
Wrendale Designs started life on a kitchen table in the home of Hannah Dale in Melton Ross, Lincolnshire. Hannah had a diverse background including studying art at school before reading Zoology at Cambridge University and then a stint as a stockbroker in London. After marrying a Lincolnshire farmer and with a young baby, she needed to find an outlet for her artistic roots.
Inspired by the glorious Lincolnshire countryside outside her front door, Hannah started to paint hares; loving their expressive faces and wonderful personalities, these designs proved to be an immediate success. Her repertoire soon expanded and she began painting other animals.
It was then suggested to Hannah that she design some greeting cards... and Wrendale Designs was formed. Since then, the company has won numerous awards and supplies cards nationwide, as well as exporting all over the world. Wrendale also has a collaboration with Portmeirion which produces wonderful quality ceramic, textile and melamine items featuring Hannah's designs, and it has also branched out beyond cards to produce other stationery, tinware and a fab soft furnishings range.
As the business has grown, it has become very much a family affair and Hannah's husband Jack now runs the business, with a wonderful team enabling Hannah tofocus on what she enjoys most - the artwork.
